Been looking for an Archive player for a long time now. This one works, and it works pretty well. I hope the app keeps being improved (like quickly navigating large collections and moving the scrub bar off of the middle of the preview image) because there is a ton of functionality and potential here. Keep the updates coming!

One of the strangest apps Ive encountered.

I love it , but its so slow its take a time to download !! Why it is not fast? And why there is no setting where i can Chang the quality ..i wish they can fix it soon :)❤

Media player has problems.

At last heres an Internet Archive app that actually plays the movies!!! I adore IA, I work midnights and love being able to watch a good, or hilariously bad, film noir or horror movie when its slow. But Id rather watch on my iPod since Im sure one day our work computers wont let us access the page . I was frustrated with the B movies app...once in a while it would work, but usually it didnt. The player on this app, though, takes up only part of the screen... Not a huge problem because you can still use Quiktime, but it would be nice if films automatically went into Quiktime mode, or there was a way to get a full picture with their player; it would just save a little bit of time. This app accesses the audio files on IA too.

I’ll be glad to change my rating if conditions change, but this is such a serious bug I can’t even use the program. When I click on the "menu" bars (the three bars in the upper left hand corner) and get a list of collections to search, I can’t scroll up or down. Just touching that list always sends me to the home screen. I have no idea if this program works at all. I just got my first iPhone and installed this so I could listen to music and the old time radio show collection and found I can’t even navigate to anything. This one bug disables the whole app and I think a one-bug issue that makes an app unusable is a solid reason for a one star review.

I love the Internet Archive and I love this app for providing me outstanding access to the Internet Archive!! Keep up the great work!

This app is great, but needs to be updated because the movies and other programs are not very neat. We need a more modern and organized app!

Everything works except the media player which will not start for me. If you select the choice "web" then Safari will open the page and you can click on the video and it plays in Safari just fine. Few extra steps but worth it to view these classic videos.

We need a real Internet Archive app. This one is terrible--poor design, poor execution.

AWESOME !!!!! Listen to all your old time radio detective and sci fi shows

Just started using it, but so far it seems great! Love the ability to bookmark shows and listen in the background. UI seems well thought out and the search worked very well.

This app has taken huge strides forward in the last couple of updates! Thanks to the developer for the great improvements. Seems like just a few months ago this app was almost useless and now its terrific! One suggestion for future update would be if it had a downloader for offline listening, that would be so cool!!

I use this app daily and for prolonged periods of time, to listen to Victor Paul Wierwilles bible teachings. This app has saved me from locking up safari on my phone and allows me to search the web while listening! Great app

Dont get me wrong, the quality of the content available on the archive is superb. My score is only for the usability of the APP. I used the previous version and, for example, to listen to a bunch of old Gunsmoke radio episodes. You clicked on radio programs, then Gunsmoke, and you got a long list of programs to choose from. With this new version I cant even find the list, there is just a set of icons (audio, video, text, and so on) and underneath that, a list of staff picks. Theres a slide out menu but no way I can find to get a list there either. Im not a novice, I have designed the UI of many sites and recently an APP. But I feel like an idiot. After half an hour I could only get to a search list that found a few single episodes in no obvious order. Maybe Ill figure it out, but first try, I find the new version interface incomprehensible.

Once you figure out which icon will take you to the content you want this app is very helpful. A set of instructions would likely preclude many futile taps and thinking, "What good is this thing? If I had paid for it I would want my money back.".
